Omoikane Mask hyottokko The number three often comesTraditional Japanese Omoikane Mask Description Omoikane ( or ) is the Shinto god of wisdom and intelligence. His name means "serving one's thoughts." He was often called upon by other dietary (gods) to help make decisions. In one myth, Amaterasu (sun goddess) hid in a cave and Omoikane was tasked to find a way to get her out. He is said to be the child of Takamimusubi, but according to some depictions, it is the god of Tokoyo (the endless country).
